I’m so excited to have seen LINDSEY STIRLING in concert last year for my birthday. UNDERGROUND is grungy and quirky at the same time. I’m just in love with every bit of it! It has to be added to your #writingtothemusic playlist.
The intro is soft and and very has you in suspense as what this song will become. Her talent for the violin really speaks volumes as she drops the first beat. I love the music break at 1:25. I’m sucker for these breaks in music and it’s refreshing and the syncopation rhythms.
The single tops out at 4:24, and you can hear that music break exactly at 2:30 to keep your interest. STIRLING’s signature melody is very much present in this song. It’s safe to say if she had released it back on her 2012 Lindsey Stirling album, it fits. Like all of her albums, it all tells a story. This is one of the main reasons I absolutely love this artist. She brings the best of both worlds together.
The cover is deeply adored by all types of persons. My heart will always belong to anime and manga, and it’s not surprising to see her have such a cover. She’s done a lot of “nerdy” covers like GoT (Game of Thrones) and Pokemon. Her upcoming album ARTEMIS will be released in September with most of her tour dates in Europe and a few here in the States.
I’ve had this on repeat for the past few weeks. Her music will always be an inspiration for my writing.
