I’ve been in love with Tim Janis‘ 2005 The Promise album back in 2005. I’m so inspired and ecstatic about CELTIC HEART. If you’ve read the first four chapters of my WIP Destiny of an Azurine my protagonists and others have these markings which I describe them as Celtic scroll like symbols.
I normally don’t listen to lyrical music while I write, and with CELTIC HEART we have the first two tracks of what I call them “ooohs and aaawwwsss”. Vocals. They are going up and down scales and harmonizing giving it that sci-fi or fantasy feel. It doesn’t distract me from writing, yet it inspires me and I’m in the zone. There are 19 tracks to this album! That’s a lot. Clocking in at an hour and three minutes. Wonderful. This means, I can set aside an entire hour to concentrate on this WIP.
THE ANCIENT WOODS is the longest song and it at the five minute mark.
FAIRY GLEN is and adventure. It begins as if you found the door to a Fairy world. The vocals and the bagpipes compliment the melody completely. The vocals are like little fairy whispers, and I can see them dancing on leaves, and stumps having a fairy good time.
SPIRIT LAKE has the beautiful flute and harp like the The Promise album I fell in love. I love that flute! It’s soothing and hearing it early into the track and again at 1:30 mark and it takes off throughout the rest of the track. This is my favorite track. The vocals are so warming and complimenting the track title.
CELTIC HEART is the last track to this wonderful album. Again, the flute follows after the vocals not even 30 seconds in. It’s truly majestic track for this ending.
Give Janis a listen during your down time or edit/revision time. It makes a world of difference. I love this artist. I have him on apple music and follow him through Spotify.
