James Lazzeroni‘s music has been added to my #writingtothemusic playlist. I’ve been listening to his album A Good Life on Apple Music all day!

All pieces are soft and gentle much like time passing at a steady even pace to me. They’re not too long and I really enjoy the short, sweetness of each piece and I’m savoring each bite like warm apple pie or chocolate cake. Each time I hear James Jazz,  I’m finding myself glancing at iTunes for the name of the piece. I love the repetition of the same notes traveling up the scale before drifting into a small run. It’s my most favorite.
With Autumn around the corner, Lazzeroni really captured the essences of Autumn in the ending. It may be the fact my house is covered with autumn decor, and I’ve got a mullen cider candle permeating through the room. Yet, I really love the ending of this piece. The last chord at around 1:33 into the piece sounds as if the last leaf has fallen and finishes with the camera panning back to the empty tree signaling a seasonal change.

Another piece really that grabbed my attention would be Wonderful Piano. The beginning sounds like a hymnal from a very traditional baptist church. It’s soft as if being played during prayer at the ending of a sermon before the pastor asks those would like to pray to come to the front and kneel at the altar.

I love each of the songs on this album and Lazzeroni has a Christmas album! I’ve added to my Christmas new age playlist.
